After 13 years of making cheese in the same vat, equipment and facilities, we have long surpassed the need for expansion. The existing building housed everything well until about four years ago when the decision was made to rent a warehousing facility and move the packaging and shipping functions there. Though it has served us well, there were challenges with employees in two places and trying to conduct efficient business. As the business has quickly picked up more momentum over the last few years, the need to expand the existing facility has finally come.
We are very proud to announce we have broken ground on our new addition! Our new facility will house a new making room, underground aging rooms cooled with spring water, a larger storefront for retail sales, viewing windows, and bring the packaging and shipping facility under the same roof. Our new facility will be more efficient, place all of our employees together under one roof and be much more visitor friendly. We are very excited and look for completion of our expansion project in the Spring of 2012. We have added photos of the construction in progress and will continue to do so until it is completed so check back often!
